TASTE of TECH -- hour long sessions highlighting ways to use technology, particularly when teaching science. Snacks are provided. Everyone is encouraged to share their own experiences with science and technology!
One of the hour-long Taste of Tech sessions focused on using google docs, spreadsheets, and hangouts in education. We focused on how to use the apps in science class such as students entering water quality data to provide class data for analysis and for students collaborating on lab reports across different class periods.
The use of tools, such as Educreations for student-produced and student-narrated presentations, was the focus of one Taste of Tech session. Examples included student-narrated presentations of Bernoulli's Principle. These mini-presentations included short videos of students testing their creations, pictures, text, handwriting, and narration.
